I had the privilege of attending a recent West Deerfield Township event dedicated to supporting caregivers of people with dementia. The room was packed, a testament to the dedication and concern our community has for those facing one of the most challenging aspects of aging. The speakers were truly inspiring, offering invaluable advice and insights for caregivers who provide unwavering love and care to their family members and friends.

I was deeply moved by the stories and the palpable sense of commitment in the room. The individuals who step up to care for their loved ones during such trying times are nothing short of heroes. Their selflessness and dedication embody the spirit of our community, showing us the true meaning of compassion and resilience.

In light of this, I am committed to working closely with local leaders, including those from the Alzheimer’s Association and West Deerfield Township, to ensure that every individual in our district who needs caregiving support is connected to the necessary resources and assistance. We are a community, and in times of need, it is imperative that we come together to support one another.

As your Lake County Board member, I am looking forward to building these bridges and fostering a network of support that our caregivers and their loved ones can rely on. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. In the meantime, please reach out to the West Deerfield Township if you or someone you need can use caregiving support.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our community.
