Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah

December is a month that brings excitement to children and joyfulness to adults as we celebrate the holidays of Hanukkah and Christmas. While I was raised in a Jewish household and have always celebrated the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah, I have spent nearly 25 years celebrating Hanukkah and Christmas. As the husband of a strongly Catholic woman, my children and my step-children all attended Catholic high schools. Every year, we put up a Christmas tree and light the candles on the Menorah for each of the eight nights of Hanukkah to celebrate both holidays. You could say my house is as religiously diverse, just like Lake County!
